Passing Strange is a bold, cutting-edge rock musical which transports us across the dividing lines of place, identity and conventional theater. A young Bohemian pilots us from black middle-class America to Amsterdam and Berlin on a quest to discover his personal and artistic authenticity. His intense, humorous, and soulful story moves us beyond the limits of sex, drugs and rock & roll and into “the real”.
