A new version of the celebrated murder mystery that inspired Hitchcock’s masterpiece! Tony is convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him. Now it seems that the affair is over, but in his jealousy Tony spins a web of suspicion and deception that will tighten around them and ensnare them both in danger, recrimination and murder. Adapted from Frederick Knott's original, made famous by Alfred Hitchcock's film, Jeffrey Hatcher's taut adaptation keeps the twists coming until the very end.

Jeffrey Hatcher’s masterful adaptation of Frederick Knott’s Dial M for Murder first captivated audiences at The Old Globe in San Diego in July 2021. Since then, it has graced prestigious stages such as Asolo Repertory Theatre, the Plymouth Theatre on Broadway, and our local Guthrie Theatre. I’m thrilled to bring this electrifying adaptation to life within the intimate setting of Yellow Tree Theatre. Hatcher’s script promises an evening of suspense, unexpected twists, and gripping revelations, all intensified by the immediacy of live performance.
It’s an honor to collaborate with such a talented cast and creative team. Together, our aim is to craft an immersive experience that pays homage to Hitchcock’s classic film—where shadows conceal secrets and every twist keeps you on the edge of your seat until the final moment. Join us at Yellow Tree Theatre for this pulse-pounding mystery as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hitchcock’s iconic work through a fresh and thrilling adaptation.
