2019 SUMMER TREEHOUSE MUSICAL THEATER CABARET

Attention HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS! Are you crazy about musical theater and seeking more performance opportunities? Are you about to enter college and wanting to brush up on your audition skills? Would you like to work with professional Twin Cities artists for a week? Yellow Tree is thrilled to announce a brand new Summer Musical Theater Cabaret! You’ll spend a week working with professional Twin Cities theater artists, learning about the biz, and putting together a sweet cabaret! Students will bring in favorite songs to work on throughout the week, get one-on-one instruction, and have a performance on Yellow Tree’s stage! Spots are limited so don’t wait to sign up!

REHEARSALS:
July 15th -19th, Monday -Friday, 4:00pm - 8:00pm

FINAL PERFORMANCE:
Fri., July 19th @ 7:30pm
Sat., July 20th @ 2:00pm

COST TO ATTEND PERFORMANCES: $10
(Tickets will go on sale April 1st!)

*Note…In order to keep the cost of participation low, cabaret participants are expected to market the final performances and draw audience members!!!

Meet our director Max Wojtanowicz!  Max   is a Twin Cities based performer, writer, and educator. He has performed on stages such as: Guthrie Theater, Children's Theatre Company, Jungle Theater, Park Square Theatre, Ten Thousand Things, Theater Latté Da, Frank Theatre and Nautilus Music Theater. He is the playwright & lyricist of six musicals, which have been performed at the MN Fringe Festival, Illusion Theater, Mayo Clinic's Cancer Center, and United Solo Festival in NYC. His latest show,  Pansy , is in development with Theatre Latté Da. Max and Sheena Janson Kelley are founders, hosts, and curators of  Musical Mondays , a monthly cabaret showcase which provides performance opportunities for local musical theatre artists. Max has taught with St. Olaf College, St. Cloud Civic Theater, Plymouth Playshop, Southeastern Summer Theatre, and Maple Grove High School.
