Jason Peterson, Executive Artistic Director Jason Peterson is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Yellow Tree Theatre. Jason has worked as an actor in television, film and theater in New York and Minneapolis over the past twelve years. Recent projects include: Fool for Love & Rabbit Hole (Jungle Theater); Grace, Death of a Salesman, Clybourne Park, The Pavilion, String, Miracle on Christmas Lake, Our Town, The Rainmaker and The Glass Menagerie (YTT). Jason was recently noted in Mpls. St. Paul Magazine as a “Risk Taker” & “Scene Shaper” in the Twin Cities artistic community. He holds a BFA in Acting from the University of MN Duluth. Jason and his wife, Jessica, founded Yellow Tree together in 2008.
Jessica Lind Peterson, Co-founder & Development Director Jessica Lind Peterson is co-founder of Yellow Tree along with her husband, Jason. Jessica is an actress and playwright and her plays have been produced in LA, New York, Chicago, Miami, Duluth and here at YTT. Roles at YTT include: Violet, Next to Normal (Lavender Magazine "Creme de la Creme Performance"), Dancing at Lughnasa (Star Tribune Top Ten Twin Cities Productions of 2015), Stay Tuned, Circle Mirror Transformation, The Last 5 Years and Title of Show. Plays include: Miracle on Christmas Lake I & II, A Hunting Shack Christmas, A Gone Fishin' Christmas, What I Learned From Grizzly Bears (published by Smith & Kraus), String (KCACTF Mark Twain Comedy Award Runner-up) and Lena Long Legs. Jessica holds a BA in English & Theater from the University of MN Duluth and is an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at Hamline University. She is also a published essayist and the proud mom of two light-saber loving little boys, Westin & Winter.
Kara Wolf, Audience Services & Development Manager Kara has been with Yellow Tree since 2014. With an education degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, a love of music and theatre, and an odd knack for remembering names, she has found a great love for her role at Yellow Tree in this lovely strip mall. When you arrive for a show, don't be surprised if she knows your name when you walk up to the window! Kara is also the co-founder of Maple Grove-based Home Base Theater. Kara looks forward to getting into the community and cultivating partnerships with the people and businesses of the Northwest Suburbs!
Molly Weibel, Box Office & House Manager, Education Program Facilitator, Overall Girl Friday Molly is thrilled to be a part of the Yellow Tree Family. In addition to her roles at YTT, Molly currently teaches performance and the Musical Theatre Training Program at Escalate Dance and Theatre Studio next door. Molly also teaches theater with Youth Performance Company and at Valley View Middle School in Edina. In what little spare time she has, Molly runs a small photography business called 1000 Words Photography and is a proud plant mom to Val in the Box Office.
